Henrietta Bud is a sculptor working in a wide range of materials creating human and other organic shapes.  Her approach to sculpture grew out of a childhood spent on the Jurassic Coast of Dorset where huge natural forces have carved out a spectacular landscape which shelters within it a myriad of fossilized forms. These influences predispose her preference for working in natural materials (stone, wood, clay and metals) and foster a deep affinity with a sense of the innate power of shape.   Her aim is to create sculpture which has a presence and a sense of inner life which speaks to people at an emotional level beyond the reach of words.

Henrietta trained at Art Colleges in London and Brussels.  She exhibits internationally and has work in collections in the UK and overseas.  She is a member of the Surrey Sculpture Society and the Oxford Sculptors’ Group.  She works independently and welcomes commissions.
