Cheltenham based Myra became hooked on sculpture unexpectedly the first time she worked on a head from life. Her father was a serious sculptor, so maybe the urge to do so is genetic!

Val Adamson has inspired and tutored her over the last four years. Most pieces are in clay and while some are fired, others are cast and patinated.

Myra is fascinated by the quirky and unusual and this is reflected in her work. She likes figurative sculpture, increasingly  working to a theme, for example communication, and she sculpts animals. She also is drawn to the absurd.
